a project that looks into the future
Higher Roch Tower was included in the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH), an international organisation that promotes vertical growth as a solution for urban density and strives to make cities more sustainable.
This 57 m high residential complex was completed a few weeks ago. It’s located in the Saint-Roch district, a reclaimed area in the historic centre of Montpellier (France).
two overlapping registers: the historic centre and the lower section of the city
It symbolises the new area’s gateway, and that’s why it connects two urban spheres. The project develops superimposing two registers. The first one concerns the historic centre, the lower part of the city, while the second one dialogues with the city’s distant heights.
Bamboo Density was chosen for the decking of the terraces of this futuristic building.
